Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program at Black Fern Salon

The Black Fern Apprentice Program offers a structured 6–8 month beauty industry mentorship designed to help newly licensed cosmetologists transition confidently into the salon environment. Who This Program is For

The Apprentice Program is specifically crafted for newly licensed cosmetologists or stylists who are early in their careers and eager to continue their cosmetology training in a supportive, growth-focused environment. This program is perfect for those seeking beauty industry mentorship while they: Have recently completed cosmetology school, desire additional guidance before taking clients independently, are keen to refine their technical skills, wish to learn about the business side of the beauty industry, appreciate collaboration, education, and community, and are committed to building a long-term career behind the chair.

Program Overview

Over the course of 6–8 months, participants in the apprentice program work closely with experienced stylists and salon leadership while receiving structured education, practical training, and hands-on salon experience. This program is specifically designed to bridge the gap between cosmetology training and achieving independent service provider status. Through beauty industry mentorship, apprentices will gradually build confidence, technical ability, guest communication skills, and professional habits while becoming immersed in the culture and standards of Black Fern Salon.
