Black Fern Salon

Graduating beauty school is a major accomplishment—but it's only the beginning.

The Black Fern Apprentice Program is a structured 6–8 month mentorship experience designed to help newly licensed cosmetologists transition confidently into the salon industry. Through hands-on learning, guided mentorship, and real-world experience, apprentices gain the technical, professional, and business skills needed to build a thriving career behind the chair.

Our goal isn't simply to help you become a better stylist. Our goal is to help you become a successful professional.

Program Overview

Over the course of 6–8 months, apprentices work closely with experienced stylists and salon leadership while receiving structured education, practical training, and hands-on salon experience.

The program is designed to bridge the gap between cosmetology school and independent service provider status.

Apprentices will gradually build confidence, technical ability, guest communication skills, and professional habits while becoming immersed in the culture and standards of Black Fern Salon.
