Position Overview

The Salon Assistant serves as the central support person for both guests and service providers. This role is responsible for helping maintain the flow of the salon while ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional, and memorable experience.

Unlike our Apprentice Program, the Salon Assistant position is not a stylist-training role and does not require a cosmetology license. Instead, it focuses on hospitality, operations, organization, and business support.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys customer service, retail, organization, and creating exceptional experiences behind the scenes.

What We Expect

Guest Experience & Front Desk Operations

Welcome guests and create a positive first impression
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling
Check guests in and out efficiently
Assist guests with questions regarding services, products, and salon policies
Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area

Guest Coordination

Support service providers by managing guest flow throughout the day
Offer beverages and hospitality services to guests
Assist with guest comfort and overall salon experience
Help ensure appointments remain on schedule

Retail Support

Educate guests on available retail products and promotions
Assist with retail merchandising and displays
Track inventory levels and communicate ordering needs
Support salon retail goals and initiatives

Backbar & Inventory Management

Monitor backbar inventory and supplies
Restock products, color supplies, and salon essentials
Organize storage areas and maintain inventory systems
Assist with receiving and stocking product shipments

Salon Operations

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the salon
Support daily opening and closing procedures
Ensure common areas remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready
Assist leadership with operational projects and administrative tasks
